Theme Thursday {Spiders & Bats)

So I'm trying to prepare for next week and as always I'm looking for new ideas. My theme is spiders and bats and this is always LOVED by all the kiddos. I have a few fantastic ideas up my sleeve, but there is room for more so here is what I've found from pintrest and I'm hoping you will add yours as well.
Ok so this is totally fab! Spiders with missing numbers that the children can fill in. CUTENESS

I did these last year and plan on doing them again--they were SO MUCH FUN!
L.O.V.E. doing these----along with the rolling the marble inside a box on black paper with white paint spider webs of course--

So, please share my friends....what activities do you like to do when you study spiders and bats at school? Please share!

Surprise Freebie & Scarecrows For Sale

I know we usually wait until Friday to give freebies, but I'm sure no one will mind if we give away an extra one on a Tuesday, right? :)

Since we are all gearing up for October and fall-ifying (is that a word...if not, I just made it up) our classrooms, I wanted to give you my new October calendar set.  It includes both blank and numbered calendar pieces, an October month header, and special days pieces.   Enjoy! :)
October Calendar
Also, for 5 days only, we have SCARECROWS FOR SALE!!!  I finally finished my Scarecrows Literacy & Math Activities and it is 15% off until this coming Saturday (Oct. 1) for $3.40.  It is 22 pages of scarecrow fun perfect to do with your kiddos at the start of my fave season, FALL!  Yipee! :)

My little one is stuck on one the book, The Scarecrow's Hat right now!  It is an awesome story to do sequencing with, so I wanted to make an activity for it.  I simply COULD NOT find clipart that I liked to match the story, soooooo I made my own.  It took forever & a day to get done, but I enjoy it so much that it really doesn't seem like work to me.  I hope you like it!

**The Scarecrow's Hat student book is included in color and black & white in the packet, so you can choose which one to do with your munchkins.

Soiree Saturday {Let's Go Racing}

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of helping my neighbor, DeeDee, design her son, Cody's 9th birthday party with a racing theme!  Cody already races go-karts, and is becoming quite the little race car driver!  DeeDee decided on a black and orange color scheme and wanted there to be graphics of racing flags and cars in the design.  Here are some of the photos I took at the party!

Pizza, Chips, Candy, & Cupcakes ~ could there BE a better menu?  (Did anyone else just think of Chandler from "Friends" when you read that? Maybe it's just me!)

I love that their family all dress for the theme...DeeDee asked me to design Motorsports t-shirts for them!

A family friend hand-made these awesome racing uniforms for the boys (& is now making one for the youngest daughter)!  They are all going to wear them for Halloween!

The bounce house is always a fun attraction!

The party ended with sparklers...

and a fireworks show that thrilled even the youngest of guests (including MY boy~thank the Lord he's not scared of fireworks anymore)!

The RAD RACER Party Collection is now available in my etsy shop (if any of you happen to have a race-theme party in your future).  ;)

The collection includes these 8 PDF files.

Enjoy this short video I made for the birthday boy and his family...

Happy Saturday, friends! :)

What I Love Wednesdays

Here's what I'm loving on this oh so beautiful hump day (Wednesday)
They just came out with a new Nalgene bottle and I cannot wait to get me one!
Ok seriously ya'll....I usually try to set my alarm clock for 5:45 so I can get up and run, shower and get my stuff ready to go, but I'm not kidding--for the past few days (like 2 weeks) I have not been able to get up before 6:30! I seriously am envious of my cats who get to stay at home and sleep all day and look like this:

Ok friends-- My name is Jennifer and yes I am addicted to noodles. Yes. Noodles. Any shape. Any size. Any sauce. LOVE LOVE LOVE em! I especially love a dish at Johnny Carinos called  Chicken Bowtie Festival (not to mention the bread is just FABTASTIC)---oh it's absolutely heavenly but not so good for ya ;)

I actually just recently found someone who made a copycat recipe and I cannot wait to try it!! The Jenna Juice

The hubster and I cannot wait for our favorite shows to start up

Here are few of my guilty pleasures that I'm excited about:

I'm excited that my family from Ohio is coming up this weekend to spend some time with us. I haven't seen them all since the middle of July so I'm missing them.
Happy Wednesday!
