What I Love Wednesdays

Here's what I'm loving on this oh so beautiful hump day (Wednesday)
They just came out with a new Nalgene bottle and I cannot wait to get me one!
Ok seriously ya'll....I usually try to set my alarm clock for 5:45 so I can get up and run, shower and get my stuff ready to go, but I'm not kidding--for the past few days (like 2 weeks) I have not been able to get up before 6:30! I seriously am envious of my cats who get to stay at home and sleep all day and look like this:

Ok friends-- My name is Jennifer and yes I am addicted to noodles. Yes. Noodles. Any shape. Any size. Any sauce. LOVE LOVE LOVE em! I especially love a dish at Johnny Carinos called  Chicken Bowtie Festival (not to mention the bread is just FABTASTIC)---oh it's absolutely heavenly but not so good for ya ;)

I actually just recently found someone who made a copycat recipe and I cannot wait to try it!! The Jenna Juice

The hubster and I cannot wait for our favorite shows to start up

Here are few of my guilty pleasures that I'm excited about:

I'm excited that my family from Ohio is coming up this weekend to spend some time with us. I haven't seen them all since the middle of July so I'm missing them.
Happy Wednesday!

What I LOVE Wednesday!

I love the fact that we are getting an extra long weekend-LOVE LABOR DAY!  I am exhausted, but very excited about this school year.
Here is what is keeping my going right now

CHICK-FLI-A is a must around our house at least once a week! The chargrilled chicken sandwich is only 290 calories and super yummy!

To remain sane in the craziness of the school day, I have a few tricks up my sleeve-
Clipboards are a must for me!  They help keep me organized-so many cute, one-of-a-kind clipboards on Etsy.

Music can change the mood in the classroom at anytime.  During the first few weeks when the water works are still flowing-because they miss mom/dad or just tired I can put on these songs and get everyone in a "happy place".

*Don't Worry Be Happy
*It's a Beautiful Day
*Celebration
*Walking on Sunshine
*Lean on Me
Got to love the power of music!

Last and MOST importantly-I LOVE my husband and all the support he gives me in my job.  He is always willing to cut stuff out and help me prepare things for school.  I have been blessed with a wonderful man who suffers from a nasty disease. We pray for a cure and support the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.

Peace and Love Blogger Friends!

What I'm LOVING Wednesdays

Hiya friends!! I am so sorry I have been MIA lately...I am just completely stressing out! I have so enjoyed being completely ready come the first day of school but I think I have bitten off a little more than I can chew with the whole change of grade levels and change of classroom theme. AHH!! Don't get me wrong I am so excited about moving to Kindergarten, but I'm oh so nervous! Anyway...enough about that--here is what I'm loving today!
I'm loving that our (mine and the huster) birthday is just 2 weeks away! Mark your calendars friends...it's the 29th!

I'm LOVING that Tennessee football is just around the corner...
I LOVE that I purchased this little friend for my classroom and named him Cupcake. This is what my VIP (Very Important Pirate) *Inspired by What the Teacher Wants* will be taking home with them on the weekends. I'm excited & he's so cute!

I couldn't tell you how many times I pull this out and use throughout the day. I also couldn't tell you how many times I BACK this up because I have lost VALUABLE documents in the past. Word to the wise....BACK IT UP!

Couldn't get through the day without one of these at the beginning of the year.

Happy Wednesday my beautiful friends!! Blessings to those of your starting your new school year!

What I Love Wednesdays

Is it Wednesday already?  Wow...where is the week going?  Here's what I'm loving today!

Today, I'm loving the fact that I get to shop for school supplies again YAY!!!   I have decided to step it up a few notches with teaching Noah at home with a full-blown preschool curriculum!  So, I'm slowly transforming the corners of our home into teaching areas (and keep our home decor in place ~ not an easy task).  So, my good ol' friend Target Dollar Spot came through for me again!  I got LOTS of goodies for our calendar board, pocket charts, and other cuteness!   When I get it done, I will post pics!

This past weekend, I got to have a date night with my hubby to go see the new Transformers movie ~ it was awesome & just as good as the first two!

I love my new favorite scent at Bath & Body Works!  I originally bought it because it came in a Sparkle Mist (I can never have enough sparkle :)  Then, I loved the scent so much that I went back to get the body lotion!

I love (and am very grateful) to generous moms and teachers who share their creativity & knowledge about teaching preschoolers at home.  I have combined many teaching techniques & practices for Noah's curriculum.  I am going to title it "Flight School"; learning to fly solo in school!  One component I have decided to follow is the Raising Rock Stars Preschool Curriculum created by Carissa at 1+1+1=1.

And finally, I am loving my precious family today!  For those of you who have been following my Moo Moo's & Tutus blog, I have decided to take a break from it for a while as I focus on Noah's preschool.  I am, however, re-starting our family (& preschool) blog Taking Flight!  Come on over and take a look!

What are you loving today?

What I'm LOVING Wednesdays

Seriously ya'll I could sit down and eat a dozen of these and not feel a BIT guilty. I LOVE em! My actual favorite are from Walmart...and OOH EEMM GEE every time I go I so want one. {I do refrain most of the time}

This year for my birthday {40 more days!!}....forget the cupcakes and cake---I'm hinting around for a little something like this-
Who wants a donut now? Ha. Sorry.

This year I moved classrooms and grade levels {KINDERGARTEN HERE I COME!} So I'm loving that my good friend Frog Princess took time out of her precious schedule to come down to help me get my classroom organized. Looks ready right? I'll get there.

I LOVE my new Camelbak Groove! It's a filtered bottle. I can fill it up anywhere with any water and it tastes just like home. I usually spend at least 5-10 minutes of my nightly routine filling up water bottles because I cannot handle the iron taste out of most water fountains. This is simply AMAZING.

I am very picky about my jeans. I have very long legs {48 inches from hip to toe to be exact ---that's 96 inches of leg on my body! Yikes!} Anyway...these jeans come in an extra long which is perfect for me! The style that is perfect for me is called Maddie {they are a little stretchy through the hip and thigh}These are the ONLY jeans I own. I have them in many different variations, but they are the only style that I buy. You can buy them at Buckle.com or the store nearest you!

In the next few weeks one of our {me & the hubster} favorite shows is premiering! Yahoo! We are SUPER excited...I think it would be awesome to have a kick off party with the friends. If that's on your mind too---head on over to Moo Moos & Tutus for her party package she designed for us for our birthday last year. It's FANTABULOUS!
Now since I'm focused on setting up my classroom I have been scouting out Teachers Notebook DAY AND NIGHT for some awesome ideas.
As most of you know from my post last week I'm going to add some pirates to my ocean theme this year. I'm pretty excited about it. Look what Daphne helped me set up last night:
I'm LOVING the new sunglasses the hubster bought me for our anniversary!
Last but certainly NOT least....I am especially LOVING and missing my husband today. He's been out of town since Monday so I couldn't resist to add him to my post today!
Here we are at one of my favorite places--THE LAKE! This is where you'll find me eating donuts and drinking Dr. Pepper after my last...YES LAST class THIS Saturday!

Stay cool my friends and drink PLENTY of water!

What I Love Wednesday!

Since summer started I have been on a health kick.  I get so overwhelmed during the school year, and I feel there is never enough time to eat at school.  I am normally running around getting things ready for during my lunch break.  I am guilty of eating and drinking "junk" to get through the day.  I have spent lots of time looking at my eating habits and changing them.  Did you know that there is 490 calories in Chick-fli-A's chicken salad sandwich?  How about a six inch tuna sub on wheat from Subway-530 calories?!!  I have done well this summer, but with the rush of the beginning of school right around the corner I am trying to prepare for a healthier life style at school.  It is hard because there is always birthday treats and other yummy goodies floating around.
So here are some of my healthy loves that I will take to the classroom with me in August...

I have never been a big water drinker-I prefer Mello Yello. I have let them go and picked up these!  My favorite is Strawberry Kiwi!
I have been watching my calorie intake!  I love the Calorie Count for my phone!  It really opened my eyes and keeps me on track!

Since we teachers are always on the go Special K has great healthy snacks!  I love the protein shakes!

I am also a fan of Special K Cracker Chips! You can have 30 chips for 110 calories! The sea salt are my favorite!

We all know less is more!  So pack your baggies and eat lite and healthy!  I would love to hear what healthy foods you like to have around!

What I Love Wednesdays {Seafood}

As my family's beach vacation approaches, my mind turns to seafood!  I LOVE seafood, but mostly fish and & chips...yumm-o!  My family has taken a trip every summer since I was two to Myrtle Beach, SC.  Since it is a popular vacation spot, I thought I would tell you about some of the BEST seafood restaurants along the  Grand Strand!

Lee's Inlet Kitchen~ I've been enjoying this restaurant with my family since I was a little girl...they have the BEST hushpuppies ever! :)

Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach is so much fun!  They even give you balloon hats to wear as you dine!  You may want to consider calling months in advance for reservations...it cuts your wait time down from 4 hours to 2 hours (but, you can shop while you wait...a big plus)!

 See?  Aren't we cute?!?

You MUST eat at The Chesapeake House if you go to Myrtle Beach.  We just recently found it, and it is AWESOME!!!  The best part is a basket of muffins, hushpuppies, and homemade cinnamon rolls that awaits you when you reach your table...delicious!  {Noah liked the picture of the alligator outside :)}

Drunken Jack's is also a fun restaurant with excellent food!  Be prepared for a long wait, but there is a picturesque dock behind the restaurant that you can stroll during your wait!
Ok, now I'm hungry for seafood!  Myrtle Beach...here we come!
