What's the Weather?

Happy Monday, everyone!  We've had some CRAZY weather here in East Tennessee!  I spent the majority of Friday and Friday evening glued to the TV and radio, with Tornado warnings being displayed every 15 minutes.  Noah and I were with my mom while my hubby was flying back from a business trip and several times, we had to go to our "storm shelter" which is her hallway (the only place with no windows).  The feeling that a tornado could hit your house at any minute is a terrible one and one that we're getting quite used to in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains.  Several tornadoes did touch down about 30 miles away from where we were and devastated a community.
Take a look at this news report about the EF2 tornado.

March & April are awesome months to study weather!  Check out these fun weather units!...

We hope you're having a pretty day wherever you are! :)

  1. Hi ladies! Just read your post and I'm glad you are all okay! I'm in the opposite corner of TN and we, for once, were out of harms way this time around. Anyway...I am organizing a TN bloggers get together and didn't realize that y'all were in TN. If you are interested, click my link to see the info. I posted about it again today.

  2. First- love weather sounds!
I think we should include the sounds they make when they are all huddled against the wall waiting for "the big one"...
Second- Our "safe place" is also in the hall
And Third...ok, there's not a third- but first and second seemed lonely!
I'll be at the TN blogger meet up too!!! Yippee

  4. We got some nasty weather here in Georgia too. An EF3 hit in our county. Lots of damage, but no serious injuries luckily. Glad to hear you're okay too!
