Classroom Themes Thursday {Pirates}

So for the past 4 years I have had an Ocean theme in my classroom particularly geared toward under the sea and dolphins. We are Mrs. Huskey's Dusky Dolphins. The one reason I picked that was because I was asked to do a project in college and I cannot remember exactly what it was, but I had to come up with a name for our webpage. I racked my brain for like a week and finally my super creative Aunt came up with that. I looked up dusky dolphins and they are the dolphins that are super acrobatic and do awesome tricks so I thought "heck yeah...that's my future class!"
Anyway...so I'm at that stage where I kind of want to change, but then I do not really have that $ magic stuff that doesn't grow on trees $ if you know what I mean. So I'm thinking I may just add to my current theme--and what better than adding pirates right? I've thought about changing my name to something pirate like--does anyone want to contribute any ideas?

I'm curious to know of any other ideas so please feel free to post links for me to see!!
Come take a walk with me through blog land...

Special thanks to Clutter-Free Classroom for their super cute classroom finds!!

  1. These are fab I love pirates and I close the year with them. I start the year with an ocean theme and will slightly alter that to a Surfing theme this year. Anyway back to pirates. Deanna Jump has some pirate goodies on her blog recently and I posted my activities and goodies, including a bulletin board and glyph a few months ago on my blog. You can find them here:
